Suggested Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival to Edinburgh. Meet your driver in the airport arrivals hall (we hate to use the word driver as the gents we use are much more than just drivers!). Transfer 2 hrs to Turnberry on the beautiful Ayrshire Coast of Southwestern Scotland. Balance of the day at leisure with the possibility, depending on your arrival time, of a warm-up round at Turnberry’s very fine Kintyre Course. Accommodations: Turnberry Resort, Scotland’s original golf resort, which opened in 1906 in a stunning setting overlooking the Firth of Clyde

Day 2: Transfer 40 minutes up the coast to Troon for Morning Golf at Royal Troon / Old Course, a particularly demanding Open Championship course established in the 19th century. Balance of the day at leisure. You may elect to visit Culzean Castle, the masterwork of 18th-century architect Robert Adam. Accommodations: Turnberry Resort
Day 3: Morning Golf on property at Turnberry’s Ailsa Course, site of the 2009 Open Championship. After lunch, private transfer 2 hrs 30 min “coast to coast” to East Lothian on the Edinburgh Coast. En route, you may wish to stop at Stirling Castle, one of the most architecturally and historically significant castles in Scotland. Accommodations: Greywalls Hotel, Scotland’s leading golf-oriented country house hotel (1901) overlooking Muirfield and the North Sea
Day 4: Morning Golf at North Berwick, one of the great Scottish links classics dating to 1832. Afternoon at leisure in East Lothian during which you may choose to visit the ruins of Tantallon Castle or Dirleton Castle, both of which are located just a few miles from your hotel. Pre-dinner, we’ve arranged a private, one-hour, educational Scotch “whisky” tasting at Greywalls. Accommodations: Greywalls Hotel
Day 5: Private transfer 50 min to Edinburgh for a half day in the compact, Scottish capital. Enjoy a three-hour, private guided tour of Edinburgh’s delightful Old Town including key sites along the Royal Mile, which extends from the city’s iconic castle to Holyrood Palace. Late Afternoon Golf at St. Andrews / the New Course. Accommodations: Rusacks Hotel, the original golf hotel in St. Andrews overlooking the Old Course, OR the Old Course Hotel, the top five-star property in St. Andrews
Day 6: Morning transfer 50 min for golf at Carnoustie, one of the most demanding and unforgiving of the Open Championship courses. Afternoon at leisure in St. Andrews. Accommodations: Rusacks Hotel OR the Old Course Hotel
Day 7: Morning Golf at St. Andrews / the Old Course. Your tee time may allow for lunch after your round at the St. Andrews Links Clubhouse. In the afternoon, you may wish to visit Glenturret, Scotland’s oldest distillery (1775), for a tour and VIP tasting. Glenturret is located in Crieff, 75 min from St. Andrews. Accommodations: Rusacks Hotel OR the Old Course Hotel
Day 8: Farewell to Scotland. Private transfer 1 hr 10 min to Edinburgh Airport for departure.
